Call for Nominations for Association Leadership
We hope that your 2016 – 2017 academic year is off to a wonderful start. We look forward to working with you to continue the important work of developing exemplary communities of practice at schools, colleges, and universities both in the United States and abroad.
The Call for Nominations for the positions of President-Elect and for one three year term on the Board of Directors is now open. We hope that you, as an NAPDS member, will take a few minutes to consider nominating yourself or a colleague for one of these positions.
The office of President-Elect shall be filled by a P-12 educator and requires a three year commitment. The President-Elect shall automatically succeed the President after the completion of a one-year term and will then serve one year as Past President in an advisory role to the President.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The vacancy on the Board of Directors is for a three year term and shall be filled by a college/university educator.
Responsibilities for the Board of Directors include:
- Approve the budgeting process and budgets, Lead strategic planning,
- Oversee the compliance with all Bylaws of the Association, Oversee the activities of the Association leadership, and
- Assume any other responsibilities as requested by the President.

NOMINATE YOURSELF OR A COLLEAGUE
Those considering a nomination may want to contact current representatives to discuss the responsibilities, expectations, and financial commitments for each office. Please return the nomination form and required nominee statements by FAX to 254-710- 3789 or scan to Membership@napds.org no later than Tuesday, October 4, 2016. A slate of nominees will be distributed to all NAPDS members on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 and elections will be conducted electronically between November 1 and November 8, 2016. The election winners will be notified the middle of November, allowing new officers time to prepare for their formal introduction to the NAPDS membership at the NAPDS business meeting held at the 2017 NAPDS Conference to be held in Washington, DC March 9 – 11, 2017. **Please note that the nomination form requires the signatures of both the nominating member and the nominee. Incomplete nomination forms will not be accepted.
