Call for Nominations
2011-2012 Executive Council & Board of Directors

Welcome to the new school year that is upon us.  We know that this is a very busy time for all of you as you prepare for the arrival of students and begin the process of building educational communities.  It is also a time that we ask you take a moment to address a key issue regarding NAPDS.

This is the time of year that we call upon you as an NAPDS member to take an active part in the Association’s election process.  The Call for Nominations for the Board of Directors and 2011-2012 Executive Council form is available at www.napds.org/elections.html .   We encourage you to collaborate with your NAPDS colleagues to seek nominations for the following positions:

• President-Elect (from P-12; a three year commitment)
• Secretary (from either P-12 or college/university; a two year commitment)
• Board of Directors (from either P-12 or college/university; a three year commitment)

Self-nominations will also be accepted.  It is imperative that all individuals considering a nomination read the Expectations for all Officers of the NAPDS: Executive Council and Board of Directors and The Constitution and By-Laws of the NAPDS. Those considering a nomination may want to contact current representatives to discuss the responsibilities and expectations for each office. For President-Elect, contact Bernard Badiali at bxb8@psu.edu.   For Secretary, contact Jennifer Ford at JFord@cpsd.us.  For Board of Directors, contact Cathy Seibert at cjsiebert@bsu.edu.

Please return the nomination form by FAX only.  All nominations must be received by fax no later than Friday, October 1, 2010.  A slate of nominees will be distributed to all NAPDS members.  Elections will be conducted electronically. The election winners will be announced in early November, allowing new officers time to prepare for their formal introduction to the NAPDS membership at the NAPDS business meeting held at the conclusion of the March 2011 PDS National Conference.

 Please note that the nomination form requires the signatures of both the nominating member and the nominee.  Incomplete nomination forms will not be accepted.
